TORONTO – A Toronto law firm is moving forward with a proposed class-action lawsuit against the makers of two major brands of sunscreen in Canada, alleging they deceived customers about the strength of their products.
A federal court in Phoenix on Friday refused to dismiss a racial profiling case against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his immigration raids. However, the court also declined to give the case class action status, as pushed for by the American Civil Liberties Union and other anti-Arpaio groups.
